Dancer Adrianne Haslet-Davis, left, performs on stage with dancer Christian Lightner at the 2014 TED Conference, in Vancouver, British Columbia.
She was a dancer who lost her left leg in the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing. She took to the stage with a new prosthetic limb to perform for the first time since losing part of her left leg. After 200 days of work, for the first time she danced a rumba on her new leg, to raucous applause from the crowd.
See her above, with dance partner Christian.
With her husband Adam Davis, an Air Force captain, they were both injured in the Marathon bombings.
Wu Conghan, 101 years old, and his 103-year-old wife pose for photos while wearing wedding clothes at their home in a village of Nanchong, Sichuan province, November 5, 2012. The couple had their first photo taken in wedding suit and dress after being married for 88 years.
The wife without feet & the husband without hands,
He eats by her hands & she walks by his feet….
This disabled couple proves that there is hope for the rest of us. He has no arms and she has no legs but what they are able to accomplish is remarkable. She takes care of him good and he’s able to do almost everything with his feet. Moreover, in their everyday life they do all the housework without any help from the others. They are an amazing couple.
Really True Loving Couple ♥
